DRC MINING WEEK 2022

The investment company MD SERVICES SARL, specializing in human capital management, particularly in the mining sector, actively participated in the 17th edition of the DRC Mining Week “DRC Mining Week”

The conference was launched by the Minister of Mines Madame Antoinette N’Samba and held from June 1 to 3, 2022 at the Karavia Pullman Hotel in Lubumbashi.

This crossroads of exchange between actors of the mining sector and related services; under the theme Collaborating to build a resilient and sustainable mining industry in the DRC opened a large table for sharing experiences, exhibiting products and services, building business relationships between and reflecting on attractive themes such as the exploitation, the business climate, electrical energy, …., in order to promote the mining sector in the DRC, strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the Congolese economy. The strong delegation of MD Services was led by the Managing Director, Mr. MUDOGO Didi and its exhibition was visited and admired by several investors operating in various sectors, the organizing team of the DRC Mining Week, and particularly its enthusiastic partners in every day like Barrick, Kibali Gold Mines, Boart Longyear, Tenke Fungurume Mining, CIMKO, etc.

The dynamism of the Director of Operations and Markets, Mr. Santos-Concorde Rubuye, the MD Services staff of Greater Katanga, and those who came from all the provinces to support and present the activities of MD Services was particularly observed and we strongly affirm that this activity is one of the most successful of the year 2022.

Launched by the Minister of Mines, Antoinette N’Samba, this forum constitutes a crossroads of exchange and reflection around the mining sector. The participants are working on several issues including mining, the business climate, the electrical energy deficit for miners, and others.

More than 200 stands are open to the public and display products from mining companies and those generally used at mining sites.

Conferences and other exhibitions are organized throughout this week to “promote the mining sector”. This activity also offers economic operators the opportunity to establish business relations with other partners.

On the occasion, the Minister of Mines edified the audience on the role of the mining industry in “strengthening the resilience and sustainability of the Congolese economy”. For Antoinette N’Samba, the economy of the DRC is “dependent on the mining sector which, according to her, remains the main driver of growth and contributes significantly to the state budget”.

This mining week brings together hundreds of people including miners, mining investors, young entrepreneurs, and other experts in the field.

This forum is placed under the theme: “Collaborating to build a resilient and sustainable mining industry in the DRC”.
